Human constitution is also divided into four types: cold, hot, deficiency, and excess, based on traditional Chinese medicine diagnosis. Individuals with a cold constitution characterized by low metabolism, cold hands and feet, and sensitivity to cold air, as well as those with a deficient constitution experiencing palpitations and shortness of breath, can moderately consume warm and hot vegetables and fruits.

Individuals with a hot constitution who experience flushing, heat, thirst, and a preference for cold drinks and air conditioning, as well as those with an excess constitution prone to heat and constipation, can moderately consume cool and cold vegetables and fruits for health.
